Give Pigs-In-A-Blanket A Halloween Twist With Spooky Mummy Hot Dogs

When you go to parties, there’s typically always your standard appetizers, like platters of chicken wings, bean dip, jalapeño poppers, and cut veggies.

Don’t get me wrong, they’re delicious and a treat for your tummy, but not so much for your eyes.

That’s why whenever I see a clever twist on something I’m really familiar with — like meatloaf cupcakes with mashed potato “frosting” — I get really excited. A new spin on an old classic makes the food feel fresh and fun again — and Halloween is the perfect time to put a spin on old party classics.

Now, if you’re on your way to Halloween party, it’s most likely a costume party. So if you’re going to get dressed up, why not give your food the same treatment?

This recipe is a spooky twist on classic pigs-in-a-blanket and they’re really simple and affordable to make. All you need is…

1 package of hot dogs
1 package of pre-made crescent rolls
Yellow mustard

Slice hot dogs to create legs and arms.
Unroll the dough and slice it into strips.
Wrap your hotdog mummies with the dough strips.
Bake at 375 °F for 30 minutes.
Use mustard to create eyes.
