He Gets A Text Asking Why His Son Isn’t At School. His Response? This Is Epic.

Most parents wouldn’t take their kids out of school just to go on a vacation. But Simon Morgan is not like most Dads. Having received a text from the school asking where his son James was, Morgan replied back with a brilliant response…

PIC FROM MERCURY PRESS (PICTURED: SIMON MORGAN'S HILARIOUS REPLY OF A PICTURE OF HIS SON IN DUBAI TO A TEXT RECIEVED FROM HIS SON'S SCHOOL ASKING WHY HE DID NOT ATTEND HIS MORNING REGISTRATION) A ëlad dadí who received a text message from his sonís school asking why he was absent replied with a photo of him on HOLIDAY in Dubai. Simon Morgan, 43, had gone away with wife Claire and James, 15, on a last minute break on March 3 meaning his son missed two days of school. While there, business owner Simon received a message from Stanwell School, in Penarth, South Wales, asking: ìJames Morgan was absent from AM registration. Please can you TEXT a reply with the reason for this absence. Thanks Stanwell School.î Prankster Simon replied with a picture of James stood in front of Dubaiís luxurious hotel Burj Alíarab, much to the hilarity of his son and all of his school friends. And itís not the first time that the mischievous father has enjoyed toying with his sonís school ñ playing so many pranks he has developed a reputation as the ëcoolest dad at schoolí. When James was late into class one morning, Simon offered to keep him in a cardboard box outside the school and feed him gruel to ensure he wasnít late again. SEE MERCURY COPY

Simon said: “We only found out about the holiday the day before as it was through the travel agency that we run, so we genuinely didn’t have time to plan.

“I know I should have told the school beforehand but if you ask on things like this unfortunately they often say they don’t approve of it, so I took a gamble. They didn’t reply to the text so I think it paid off.

“It was light-hearted banter, though admittedly it’s not the first time I have done it. James obviously thought it was fantastic and all of his friends loved it too.”

This isn’t the first time this has happened… In May 2015, Simon reportedly texted the school to explain James’ absence saying:

“Oh dear god… We took James out last night to celebrate the end of his GCSE exams. We had a couple of cocktails…

“Not sure what happened next but I’ve woken up in a hotel room with a six foot plastic flamingo in my bed and what looks like Mike Tyson’s tiger in the corner of the room.

“I think we may be in Las Vegas? I’ve no idea where James is. Will check the roof.”
