Florida is experiencing what some believe to be the start of a huge drug epidemic involving a dangerous batch of synthetic marijuana.
It has hit the streets of Clearwater full throttle and is giving users the kind of high which causes them to become incapable of doing much of anything, including talking and properly walking.
It’s so bad that residents have been wondering if the popular zombie TV show, The Walking Dead, has started filming in the Tampa Bay area as there seems to be a huge number of individuals resembling zombies stumbling around.
Overdoses of synthetic marijuana, or Spice, has been causing death among users. Apparently there is a bad batch of Spice that has been running rampant in the state. Police have stated the following:
“We have noticed a serious uptick of Spice incidents lately that have turned into medical calls and it’s become a serious drain on resources for the police department for the fire department and then in turn for doctors say at Morton Plant Hospital where the patients end up,” says police spokesman Rob Shaw.
They warn that this is just the beginning. If the producers of The Walking Dead want some free stand-in talent, they should come to the area as more and more zombie-acting citizens are going to overtake the Bay area. There is even a video where the Mayor goes up to three such zombies who are zoned out in a park from Spice use.
The mayor tried to ask the zombies questions but no one was capably of even talking they were so out of it:
“How long ago did you guys smoke spice? Young lady, how long ago did you smoke? What’s your name?”
The mayor asked one guy his name and here was his response:
“What’s your name?” Mayor Gandy asked. “My name?” That was all the man could say.
Super Spice seems to be what they are labeling this drug which is causing this kind of zombie behavior.
Mayor Gandy describes the drug:
“The spike that we’re seeing and my personnel are dealing with on the road are unprecedented.” The mayor said he saw “15 people walking around in various states of incapacitation.”
Some people like a guy named Teddy get’s high to blur out his problems and he has seen his friends turn into zombies from the drug. He said the following:
“Well yeah, then you don’t know what’s in it. You could be getting high on rat poisoning.”
Is Teddy scared of the overdosing danger of Super Spice?
“Yeah, yeah,” he responded, “and it should scare you, too.”
