Whether or not you believe there is an assault on Christmas, no one can protest that the openness with which people display Nativity scenes and other symbols of the season has steadily declined.
This isn’t 1955 anymore and there aren’t creches around on lawns and in the front windows of our homes like they used to be. Even less do you see Nativity scenes or even the word “Christmas” on the windows and fronts of businesses.
So when I saw what this McDonald’s in Spring Hill, Tenn, a suburb of Nashville, did I couldn’t contain my excitement. Not only did they paint a Nativity scene display on their front windows, but they have the words “Rejoice” and “His Name Is Jesus” in clear, large lettering for all patrons to see.
“Everyone who acknowledges me publicly here on earth, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. But everyone who denies me here on earth, I will also deny before my Father in heaven.” -Matthew 10:32-33
