Woman Arrested For Shooting At A Man After He Threw A Slurpee In Her Face During A Road Rage

This Slurpee cooled no one down.

A Michigan woman was arrested after she was hit in the face with the frosty treat during a road rage incident and then fired off her gun immediately afterward, authorities said.

India Marchea McDougal, 36, told police she pulled the trigger Tuesday because she was “scared for her life” after she and another driver got into a heated argument while they were both stopped at a red light, Macomb County Sheriff Anthony Wickersham said Thursday.

The Harrison Township woman “exchanged words” with the 40-year-old male motorist, who pulled up beside her 2004 Lexus to complain about her driving, authorities said.

The argument escalated when the unidentified man exited his red 2003 Chevy pick-up truck.

When he got back inside, he said he reached over, unrolled his passenger side window and hurled the soft drink at her, according to deputies.

McDougal unleashed one bullet into his passenger side door, shattering the window, shortly before 6 p.m. It was lodged in the arm-rest of his truck, police said.

Both of the drivers called 911 immediately after.

McDougal had a concealed pistol license for her 9mm Luger handgun, which was found on her driver’s side door, officials said.

She was arraigned Wednesday and faces multiple charges, including assault with intent to murder, felony firearms and possession of controlled substance.

McDougal was given a $750,000 cash bond. She is due back in court Oct. 26.

The male motorist faces several misdemeanor charges, authorities said.
