Videos of parents publicly disciplining their children have been popping up everywhere lately.
“What goes on at home, should stay at home.”
Arsenio Mcleod continued by throwing out a few suggestions that are — in his opinion — a better way of teaching a child a lesson:
1. You should discipline your child in their room, not on their social media network.
“I won’t ever, ever, humiliate my own DNA on their social media network.”
2. You can take something away from them.
“If my son acts up, I’m like ‘son, you can’t play that game today.’”
3. Make them read a book all day instead of watching television.
“Humiliation can cause suicide and depression. I’m 26 and I know better than that.”
To the father of three, the videos of parents public shaming their children are heartbreaking and he confesses that they have “actually made him cry.”
Every parent has a different approach to raising their children, and regardless of which side of the argument they’re on, it’s clear that loving your child is universal.
