He’s Too Busy On His Phone To Notice THIS. What Happens To Him? I’m SPEECHLESS

The more technology advances, the more I wish I could go back to more simpler times in life…

These days, it feels like everywhere you look, you can see people with their eyes and fingertips glued to their smartphones, oblivious to their surroundings. People rarely stop to take a moment to look around to see how amazing our world really is. Here at LittleThings, it’s our mission to share the very best stories on the web. However, just like this fed up father who can’t take his sons’ texting at the dinner table anymore, we often think about the “good old days” when people weren’t so addicted to the internet. I’m sure someone you know comes to mind as you’re reading this…

The following video is one of the most viral we’ve ever seen, which is ironic, because it’s all about what we miss when we let ourselves become dependent on technology. Written, performed and directed by Gary Turk, “Look Up is a spoken word poem for the “online” generation. With chilling lines like, “This media we call social is anything but, when we open our computers and it’s our doors we shut,” this video has one of the most vital messages for younger generations. Children today are growing up in a world where they don’t play outside or communicate with their friends the way we did when we were young.

While this dog owner’s video is a little dramatic, it’s sad that it’s also a good representation of how everyone today communicates via text message and Facebook. It’s heartbreaking…and I have to admit that I feel guilty myself.
