It’s A Normal Day For The Oldest Nurse In America—Until She Sees THIS Down The Hallway!

What do you plan to be doing for your 90th birthday? How about working tirelessly to save lives?

That’s the main objective for Florence “SeeSee” Rigney, who recently celebrated her 90th birthday. SeeSee is the oldest known active nurse in the United States, and she’s been working at Tacoma General Hospital for nearly 70 years. In the incredible video below, we watch as SeeSee — who, by the way, opted to work on the day of this momentous occasion — is celebrated by her coworkers for her continued service at the medical center.

“I’m a pain in the you-know-what,” quips SeeSee in the video. “When I was laying in bed this morning after the alarm went off. I thought, ‘Oh my god, 90!’ I can’t believe it. Ninety years ago I came into this world and here I am.”

The video, captured by her coworker Martie Schultz, shows SeeSee being honored with a bouquet, a pink sash, and a birthday crown. But the greatest surprise is a letter from the governor honoring her ceaseless contributions to her community. It’s at this point that SeeSee nearly begins to cry, and you can see how much she appreciates the thoughtfulness of a team with which she’s worked her entire life. Congratulations, SeeSee!
