Most of the time, when we think of usingavocados in a recipe, we think of using it to make guacamole. Although, what most people don’t know is that avocados have a rich, creamy texture that is perfect for just about any sweet dish. In this case, the video below will show you how to make super easy homemade ice cream that will have your mouth watering for days!
All you’ll need are the following ingredients:
- 3 ripe avocados mashed up
- 1 ½ cups of whole milk (or coconut milk)
- 1 cup of heavy cream (or coconut cream)
- ½ cup of sugar
- 1 Tbsp of lemon juice
- A spoonful of coconut cream for taste (optional)
First, take all of your ingredients, except for the heavy cream, and puree it together in a blender. Next, take the bowl you’ll be freezing your ice cream in and place it over another bowl filled with ice and water to keep it cool. Once you have your mixture in the top bowl, you will slowly whisk in your heavy cream. After everything is mixed together, cover your bowl and pop it in the freezer for about 30 minutes. After 30 minutes is up, the trick from here is to make sure you break down any chunks that might have solidified. Then, put the mixture back in the freezer and check on it every 30 minutes or so. After about two hours, you should have some delicious homemade ice cream waiting for you!
